摘要

Slope reliability analysis is an extension of conventional deterministic stability analysis. This paper put forward a new sequence response surface method for slope reliability analysis, which is a combination of finite element strength reduction method (FESRM) with response surface method. FESRM is able to obtain the information of stress and strain distribution in slope, as well as the factor of safety. Sequence response surface method can effectively solve reliability problems for implicit performance functions. The proposed new method was used to assess the safety and reliability of a high slope of an open-pit iron mine, which is located in Guangdong, China. The final reliability index is 3.14 and failure probability is 8.37e-4. Measures to reinforce the slope were suggested.
