摘要

A new method called Mode Decomposition Precise Integration Method (MDPIM) is proposed in the paper for determining the response of a beam on Winkler foundation. The mode decomposition method serves to transform the dynamic equations from geometric coordinates to normal coordinates. The forced vibration of the beam is computed by the precise time integration method. Some illustrations are discussed to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. Solutions calculated by the finite element method and those by the theoretical analysis are also included for comparison. The paper shows that the proposed method can solve the forced vibration of structures with a higher precision.
