The performance of Type P cells was excellent and showed much promise for future development 3.The key challenges for increasing the energy densities are to increase the cell maximum voltage beyond 1.5V and develop a Current collector with much lower density and much higher conductivity than stainless steel 4.The resistance of the basic type P cell is relatively low, but the resistances of the separator and current collector are dominant and must be reduced.
