A sootblowing optimization system has been put into trial operation in 900MW supercritical boilers of Shanghai WGQ No2 Power Plant. The major feature of this system is illustrated as the boiler heat transfer assessment system (HTAS) for on line calculation of heating surfaces cleanliness and subsystem “TTURTHERM” for real time correction of parameters and LHV of coal as fired according to CEMS data as well as obtaining real time reheat steam flow, too. Besides, the infrared pyrometers are installed for monitoring gas temperature at different elevation. The operation performance and the verification have been analyzed in the paper.
