The fire performance of cable products is normally assessed by prescriptive standards such as single and bunched vertical burning. Esentially these tests concern fire propagation on a pass/fail basis. Euroclassification is diffrent as it is concerned with the rating of cables in terms of a number of parameters - fire growth, heat release, flame spread, dripping and smoke.
