The holographic properties of mixed dichromated [polyvinylalcohol (PVA) / polyacrylic acid (PAA)] were investigated and compared to the pure photosensitive materials DCPVA and DCPAA. It appeared that the addition of 25% in weight of PVA in PAA strongly increases the diffraction efficiency (DE) of the resulting hologram. On the contrary, the addition of PAA in PVA only slightly increases DE values. In the last case, the addition of a complexing agent such as dimethylfarmamide DMF improves the hologram quality.
