It is important for the MPU controlled YAG laser to work relaibly because those unexpected laser pulses can do operators harm. In present paper, valid methods including hardware and software developments are described to improve the reliability of the MPU controlled YAG laser. The experiments show that, by using developments of the hardware and software, the MPU controlled YAg laser can work reliably even in the strong electromagnetic disturbance field.
