摘要

A temperature sensor system based on a non pulsed white light source exciting fluorescence in a ruby rod taken from a ruby laser is presented. The outputs from three photo detectors with spectrally overlapping responsivities are used with a chromatic algorithm to quantify changes in the spectral signature. The derived Hue value is uniquely related to temperature from 20℃ to 110℃. A simple model is also used to predict changes in the Hue value with temperature to assess the impact of using different types of optical fibres.
