VideoRay LLC was asked to assist the US Coast Guard in investigating the cause of the mysterious loss of the Lady Luck, a Newburyport, MA based fishing vessel which sank early on the morning of February 1 st, approximately 20 nautical miles southeast of Portland, Maine. This tragedy claimed the lives of Captain Sean Cone, 24 and Daniel Miller, 21. The LadyLuck was a 52 foot long fishing vessel that weighed 55 tons and was powered by a 350-horsepower engine. It was equipped with a dragger trawler and a scalloper rig, used to catch fish and scallops along the ocean floor.
