摘要

Tuning of PID controllers is a well-established and well-researched field. The use of sophisticated tuning packages is still fairly modest in paper mills. This paper treats the tuning from the practical point of view. This means that the organization must be considered very carefully, when developing predictive maintenance direction for control tuning. Here an action model is developed for the maintenance staff. The action model consists of three main issues: the scheduling of inspection, selecting methods to check quality of control, especially hunting, and the instructions for the use of a tuning tool.
