CryoSat data over the Greenland Ice Sheet are used torncontinue elevation height change data over the Greenland icernsheet, following a decade of detailed monitoring of ice sheetrnchanges with GRACE and IceSat. The combination andrnvalidation of the different data for measuring changes isrnquantified by using available airborne lidar data fromrnIceBridge and CryoVEx. There is a special challenge of usingrnCryoSat as fill-in between EnviSat and Sentinel-3 for the longtermrnmeasurements of surface elevation changes, a keyrnessential climate variable in the ESA Climate ChangernInitiative. Another challenge is the joint utilization of bothrnaltimetry and gravity field change measurements for consistentrnestimates of regional change patterns. In the paper we analyzernGRACE, IceSat and CryoSat data since 2003, and presentrnconsistent estimates of overall mass changes with averagernvalues around -220 GT/year, showing large variations fromrnyear to year, with 2012 being another record melt year for thernGreenland ice sheet. Sources of the changes are mainly melt ofrnthe marginal ice zones in SE and NW Greenland, as well asrnchanges in the major outlet glaciers.
