Subject of this paper is to describe a new approach to operational satellite simulation. Itrnintroduces a new main feature in design and development of satellite simulation softwarernsystems, providing an extension from the single satellite simulation approach to thernconstellation simulation approach. This extension is not straightforward, because, forrnperformance reasons due to possible usage of an on-board processor emulator within thernsimulator, it is necessary to adopt a distributed architecture, and this requires a newrndesign of mechanisms for model scheduling and data access.
