摘要

Independent software verification and validation (ISVV) hasrnbeen a key process for engineering quality assessment forrndecades, and is considered in several international standards.rnThe “European Space Agency (ESA) ISVV Guide” is usedrnfor the European Space market to drive the ISVV tasks andrnplans, and to select applicable tasks and techniques.rnSoftware artefacts have room for improvement due to thernamount if issues found during ISVV tasks. This articlernpresents the analysis of the results of a large set of ISVVrnissues originated from three different ESA missionsamountingrnto more than 1000 issues. The study presents thernmain types, triggers and impacts related to the ISVV issuesrnfound and sets the path for a global software engineeringrnimprovement based on the most common deficienciesrnidentified for space projects.
