SpaceFibreis the next generation data link andrnnetwork technology being developed by University ofrnDundee for the European Space Agency. Thishighspeedrntechnology runs over both copper and fibre opticrncables and is backwards compatible with the ubiquitousrnSpaceWiretechnology. SpaceFibre provides 12 timesrnthe throughput of a SpW link (2.5 Gbps) with currentrnflight qualified technology together with inbuilt QoSrnand FDIR capabilities.rnThis paper details the first implementation ofrnSpaceFibre in a radiation tolerant device in the frame ofrnthe VHiSSI project. The functionality of this ASIC chiprnis explained and the results of the functional and TotalrnIonising Dose and Single Event Effect radiation testingrnare detailed.
