摘要

Rail freight transport has to be revitalised in order to compete with the other modalities. In the past years less attention has been paid to innovate the existing rail system. By applying proven technologies, like information technology, the rail modality could become more cost effective, more flexible and even more friendly towards its environment.rnINNOCAR offers a concept of dedicated rolling stock to favour the transport of large volumes of containers on the European Freight Freeways.
