Geladandong Ice Field is one of the largest ice fields inrncentral Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, also the water sourcernof Yangtze River, Selin Co Lake and Chibozhang CornLake. In this study, we aim to monitor the glacier flowrnrates and its change in 1990s and 2000s by DifferentialrnSAR Interferometry and offset tracking. We obtainedrnSAR images acquired by ERS-1/2 and Envisat/ASAR inrn1990s and 2000s then processed them with offsettrackingrnmethod, also validated with D-InSAR method.rnTo fill the gap between ERS and Envisat observation,rnwe also applied optical images offset tracking tornLandsat 7 pan band images. The result indicates thatrnmost glaciers in Geladandong Ice Fields kept stablernflow rates at 15-30m/a during 1990s and 2000s. Somernglaciers are identified as surge type. During the surgingrnperiod, glacier flow rates could accelerate to 3 to 10rntime as normal years. Surging glaciers forwarded theirrnterminus during their surging period by opticalrnmonitoring. We concluded that during 1990s and 2000srnmost glaciers kept stable flow velocity and somernglaciers surged during the study period.
