One approach or alternative to stack monitoring is to measure the H2Srncontent of the boiler fuel gas. This can be done accurately, withoutrncompromise, and, in some cases, the entire monitoring program can bernintegrated into the existing hardware resulting in an almost negligiblerncost impact.rnSimply stated, stack monitors are limited to stack monitoring, whereasrngas chromatography, as an analytical system, can be easilyrndifferentiated to perform a wide variety of analyses. Further, inrnrecent years, the GC has become an increasingly popular choice ofrnanalyzer in the refinery. All current data seems to indicate thatrnthere will be more GCs used in the refining industry.
