Greenhouse Organic substrate cultivation is expanding in different areas around china,while the corresponding theoretical and experimental investigation on the post-substrate reuse is scanty,and the disposal methods which existed are rather extensive.Commonly used disposal methods have the problem of time consuming and bring environmental problems.Using for reference the experiences and results in earthworm disposal of agricultural and industrial castoff,an attempt was made to introduce the earthworm into postsubstrate reutilization system.A trial based on use of mixed-substrate that is pig manure,sawdust,charred-rice chaff = 2:1:1 aimed to test the feasibility of earthworm survival the ability to decompose the substance.The results showed that the earthworm dung occupied considerable portion in the substrate after 1~2 months.Compared with the commonly used methods,the time shortened,environmental burden alleviated to some extent and the produced earthworm dung is a high quality fertilizer for plant growth.It is a promising method in future post-substrate reutilization disposal
