The cyclic creep behavior of some automotive spring steels was tested at room temperature on MTS test system. TestrnResults show that the medium-low carbon spring steels perform a three-stage creep behavior, and medium-high carbonrnspring steels show a creep behavior of two-stage. The creep behavior of main creep stage could described as Δε=ε_0·N~c,rnthe cyclic creep coefficientε_0 and cyclic creep index c, are mainly affected by carbon content, strength, stress, andrnpre -process. Under equivalent strength and working stress, the creep decreases with carbonaceous increases. Tests alsornshow that, among the tested medium-high carbon spring steels, pre -process of cyclic strain promotes creep, andrnpre-process of cyclic stress restrains creep.
