This paper presents the concept of the Storable Slag Slurry, arnzonal isolation system which can be prepared in advance,rnstored and transported to the rigsite at anytime, without settingrntime concerns.rnThe compositions contain blast furnace slag to be used inrnwater-based fluids as the hydraulic material, in the absence ofrnset inhibitors. The slurry can be stored in liquid state from 3rndays up to several months, at room temperature, depending onrnits composition.rnThere are two basic methods of preparing the Storable SlagrnSlurry. In both it is possible to avoid using the single batch (arnso-called batch-mixer) saving money and to maintain goodrnhomogeneity of the slurry, and consequently, the uniformrnphysical properties (density, compressive strength, etc.) in allrnits volume.
