摘要

Researc programs and environmental databases have been numerous over the years concerning the Aral Sea conastal region. They were often "data-rich but informatin-poor". The huge amount of efforts devoted either to scientific research or to actual action or to actual action on the field requires a well-defined coordination in prder to avoid unnecessary overlap. A conceptual framework for a unified system of regional environmental information is proposed which can facilitate communication.
