The effects of synthetic goethite on anaerobic degradation process of dye wastewater were investigated. Alphazurine Arnwas used as the dye to manipulate the dye wastewater. The results showed that dye degradation was slightly inhibited by addingrnmineral material compared with the control group in the absence of external minerals. While adding synthetic goethite only when thernlogarithmic growth phase of the sludge can accelerate the anaerobic bleaching of Alphazurine A. Mineral material can promote thernanaerobic bleaching of the dye, which can be partly attributed to the high electrical conductivity of mineral.
