Ecological problms of electroplating production in the past 10-15 years have called wide attention of scientists and experts in industry. Due to unaccomplishment of technology in Russia and the CIS, about 1 billion cubic m of waste waters and about 50 thousand tons of metals : Cu, Ni, Zn, Cr, Al, Fe, Sn, etc. are being discharged annually by industrial enterprises.rnSelection of process flow diagrams for treating waste waters of electroplating production is essentially a complex task caused by many forms of contaminating ingredients and by high requirements for quality of treated water. But, without doubt, such methods are preferable. By using these methods minimum reagents consumption, minimum permissible concentration, water and valuable components return for reuse are achieved. Prospective methods for solving the stated problems in Russia can be membrane and electrochemical, particularly electroflotation with insoluble anodes, membrane electrolysis, electrodialysis.
