摘要

Due to environmetal awareness in recent years,enzymes which are bio-degradable and environmetlaly fiendly have been increasingly used for the modificaiton of cellulosic fibres.Hte aim of this paper is to study enzyme treatment on linen pre-ttreeated with caustic soda.the factros concerned were the mercerisation tension,conenrration fo cellulase,and inclubation time.Changes in crystallinity of fibres,moisture regain,fabric weight,fabric surface thickness,tenesile strength,stiffnes and fibre surface apppearance of material wre observed and studied.It was ocnfrmed by the experiments that the firbre strucutre,accessfibilty and physicla properties of linen prereated with caustic soda could further stengthen the effectiveness of enzyme treatent by exhibiting high reuciton of fabric stiffness,minimising the loss of tensil strength and shortening the original treatment time.
