A program was conducted to evaluate the relative corrosion resistance of CoNiCrAlY andChromium modified Aluminide on IN738-LC, used for turbine blades. The corrosionexperiments were performed in a laboratory tube furnace. The microstructure of coatings wascharacterized by using optical and scanning electron microscopy techniques. The resultsindicated that at a temperature of 800℃ the CoNiCrAlY is more protective than Cr-Alcoating.
