摘要

A new configuration of active integrated antenna (AIA) featuring low noise and image frequency rejection is implemented. The LNAs, mixers, LO and IF hybrid coupler are integrated to a patch receiving antenna. The patch antenna performs power splitting normally done by an external RF coupler. A balanced resistive FET mixer is employed and integrated with the low noise active antenna due to its simpler biasing and low noise figure. This integrated system can produce an image rejection around 20 dB.
