摘要

Chalcopyrite thin film photovoltaic modules with CuInS_2 absorber layers have been fabricated using a sequential process. Apart from single solar cells, a large quantity of complete integrated series connected mini-modules on 5×5 cm~2 glass substrates have been prepared at the Hahn-Meitner-Institut using this baseline process. At the same time, commercial CuInS_2-based modules of 1.25×0.65 m~2 size, fabricated by the same process, have been introduced into the market by the company Sulfurcell. This baseline process has been subject to a re-evaluation of numerous parameters involved in device fabrication. As a result, a considerable improvement in mini-module performance was achieved within a one year period. Commercial CuInS_2 modules are available from Sulfurcell exhibiting 50 - 55 W_p output power.
