Using chaotic signals in spread-spectrumrncommunications has a few clear advantages over traditionalrnapproaches. Chaotic signals are non-periodic, wideband,rnand more difficult to predict, to reconstruct, and torncharacterize than periodic carriers. These properties ofrnchaotic signals make it more difficult to intercept and decodernthe information modulated upon them. In this paper,rnwe introduce modifications on DCSK to enhance the privacyrnby eliminating the similarity in the output samplesrnby a chaotic mask, and faster by reducing the delay time.rnWe analyze then the performance of the proposed modulationrnfor different parameters and by comparison with otherrnvariants of DCSK.
