摘要

The combination of web technique and expert system technique gives rise to web-based expert system. In this paper, we developed Potato Expert System. Unlike other similar system, we used ASP and XML to construct the system. The paper also presents advantages and disadvantages of SGML, HTML, XML, and then application of XML in the System, which can be updated on line, using XML/HTML as interactive format between Browser and Web Server. A set of Chinese tags applied in agriculture and corresponding XSL documents were developed.
