After the safe and quick river arsenic pollution control, the disposal of deserted arsenic-adsorbent in the silt became an urgent problem. One potential way was to manufacture sintered bricks using the silt and clay. In the paper, the proportion between the deserted adsorbent and clay was investigated and then the stability of arsenic in the sintered bricks was tested subsequently. Experimental results showed that the reasonable proportion between the deserted adsorbent and clay was 1:19, and over 90% of the total arsenic was stabilized in the bricks. The residual arsenic concentration in the lixivium of the bricks was less than 0.02mg/L, which completely met the standard of the effluent. Therefore, manufacturing sintered bricks was a feasible treatment method for the deserted arsenic-adsorbent due to the stability of the arsenic in the bricks.
