摘要

By development of a simple signal-ot-noise based model for the DQE of a CCD imaging array plus thermal ink-jet printing, the overall imaging characteristics are expressed in a manner which enables absolute comparisions to be made with any other photographic system, analog or digital. Further, it is demonstrated that in this way other relevant input/outpout imaging parameters can be evaluated and compared, including the characteristic curve and dyamic range, image nosie and overall image quality. In this way the advantages and disadvatages of such a digital photographic system can be experessed in terms of the limiting system parameters by the use of simple mechanistic models.
