摘要

The advanced thesaurus proposed here is characterized by a concept structure and one or more thesaurus languages. The thesaurus languages are fragments of natural languages used to express complex concepts by words, terms and phrases. Such a thesaurus can be used in information retrieval for the specification of information requests and information offerings. The conditions for the thesaurus structure are described. The following processes applied to structure and language of the thesaurus are discussed: generation of phrases, generation of concepts, interpretation of phrases and paraphrasing concepts. The main features of the new thesaurus structure are compared with the current thesaurus structure.
