Nowadays applications of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) in medicine are developing rapidly[1, 2, 3, 4]. The most important advantage of HIFU is its ability to selectively destroy tumors without damage to overlying tissues. So the study of the distribution of the HIFU field is a fundamental problem in acoustics research and clinical applications. This paper discusses the sound distribution in the focal zone of a kind of annual concave focused transducer, which was designed and built by us. And we find that this kind of transducer is suitable for HIFU clinical applications.
