The primary aim of our development work was to combine the advantages of contemporary driveline concepts, namely the comfort and convenience factor associated with automatic transmission and the efficiency and dynamic character of the manual-shift gearbox. Taking this as our basis we sketched in the following targets in our development specification manual.
