The chaotic time series analysis of fluctuation signals of local solids fraction was made in both the riser and the downer. The local correlation dimension (D_(ml)) and kolmogorov entropy (K_(ml)) were strongly correlated with the local solids fraction. Radial profiles of D_(ml) and K_(ml) specified the different flow structure in the riser and downer.
