The characteristics of the flow in the riser of a CFB operated with single-or multi-component solids are investigated over a range covering three flow regimes: The Similar Profiles, Transition and Dense Phase Flow Regimes. The results confirm and generalize previous findings as well as interpretations. Especially, the effect of mixture composition is analysed.
