Following the analysis of the multi-scale interactions prevailing in heterogeneous particle-fluid flow in circulating fluidized beds (CFBs), the suspension character-istics of clustering dense phases is specified by defining the so-called suspension density of clusters, leading to a simple correlation for the diameter of equivalent cluster sphere of local flow.
