Three Geldart Group A materials (two FCC and a silica based catalyst) have been tested at simulated process temperature. The experimental U_(mb)/U_(mf) ratios, dense phase collapse rate and the standardised collapse time of the powders have been compared with standard correlations. Differences were highlighted between experimental and predicted values with increasing temperature. Geldart Group Bmaterials, such as pure CaO and CaO mixed with sand, were tested up to 400 deg C, their deaeration time increased with temperature.
