Although commercial fluidized beds are mainly operated at temperatures and pressures above atmopheric, only a few papers dealing with entrainment at high temperatures have been published. This paper presents results from experiments with FCC at temperatures up to 400 deg C and gas velocities up to 40 cm/s. Elutriation rate constants were found to decline as temperature increases. At the higher velocities maximum values were observed.
