摘要

On the basis of the results of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) .extended X -ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) and high temperature IR emission spectra (HTIRES) etc, thes paper discussed the network structure and characteristics of the nio-bosilicate and nioboborate glasses. The atom Nb has three various kinds of chemical environments in the glass structure. They change with the composition of glasses. The chemical shift takes place when Nb electronnegativity changes. This characteristics enable to repair the brocken covalent bond and to produce a new chemical bond. Moreover,the unlimited extensive six - membered ring has been formed in glass network structure and increased the stability of the glass melts.
