Viscosities and thermal properties of glasses in the systems Na_2O-SiO_2, Na_2O-GeO_2, Li_2O-TeO_2, and AgI-AgBO_2 were investigated at a temperature region of glass transformation. The measures of fragility, ΔCp and Eη/Tg, were increased with an increase in the alkali oxide content in the systems Na_2O-SiO_2 and Li_2O-TeO_2, indicating that these glasses became more fragile as non-bridging oxygens were increased. In the system Na_2O-GeO_2, on the other hand, both values were maximized at the composition with 20 mol%Na_2O, indicating that the fragility was maximized at the composition where the structure unit with higher coordination number, GeO_6, was maximized. In the system AgI-AgBO_2, although the value of ΔCp was decreased with an increase in the AgI content, the Eη/Tg value did not change with an increase in the AgI content. Such a result is probably caused by the fact that the portion of the glass network only contributes to the value of ΔCp.
