In this the plastic deformation of the sheet with an internal void inside during sheet rolling paper is simulated using a FE code DEFORM~(TM) 2D. The influences of various rolling conditions, such as thickness reduction, the dimension of the internal void, etc., on the dimension of voids at the exit were discussed. From a series of simulation results, it can be concluded that (1) the largest effective strain occurs at the front and back of the void; (2) the effective strain becomes larger when the void flows from the entrance to exit of the roll gap; and (3) the critical reduction is smaller for a round void than a rectangular one with the same height. The validity of this model was verified by comparing the analytical results with the experimental measurements.
