As experiment to study the efficiency of an annular jet pump using water as the primary and secondary flows, has been conducted. For this purpose, an existing conventional "axial" water jet pump was converted into an annular water jet pump, and an existing experimental rig was used with some modifications. The effects of three different shape suction nozzles on the annular jet pump performance were investigated. The highest efficiency of the annular jet pump was found to be 14% find achieved using a gradual reduction nozzle of 25mm diameter for the secondary flow.
