This article presents a theoretical model of explosive, intermittent melt crystallization occurring at the transonic speed as well as some results of the thermal balance equation solution. The equations obtained for general crystallization parameter calculation are given as follows: 1. single crystallization act time which is usually 10~(-12)/10~(-10) sec.; 2. solid phase layer thickness crystallized during a single crystallization act which equals to a critical nucleus diameter and is usually 10~(-10)/10~(-8)m.; 3. glass layer cooling time beginning from the melting temperature through the crystallization start temperature which is usually 10~(-7)/10~(-5) sec.; 4. a magnitude of the physical or pre-crystallization super cooling within which the melt is stable and which ranges from fractions of a degree up to hundred degrees depending on a substance; 5. average or linear velocity of the single crystal growth under spontaneous crystallization which can range from cm through hundreds m a second; 6. equations for calculating the energy being generated for a single crystallization act which are similar to those applied in laser engineering at the impulse material irradiation; 7. equations for calculating general solidification parameters for mass or volume crystallization which are in fact the same as for the analogous ones applied in metallurgy but produced in an experimental way. The results of theoretical calculations for general crystallization parameters are also presented compared with experimental data obtained by a method of ballistic thermal analysis (BTA).
