摘要

In this paper, we propose a new type of soft actuator (Pneumatic Foaming Rubber Actuator) which sponge is covered with silicon rubber. Since the stiffness of the actuator is controlled by pressure in sponge chamber, it is possible to realize a soft mechanism by using pressure compressibility in the actuator. In order to indicate the effectiveness of the actuator, we apply the actuator to a supporter for welfare machines. From some experimental results, it is clarified that the burden degree of the body in leaning motion is reduced by making use of the supporter. Further, we clear the burden degree of standing up motion with sitting posture.
