摘要

This paper shows the results of a serious of high-pressure consolidation tests on the collapse loess samples with various moisture contents. The deformation δ and moisture content ω curves show that the deformation increases with the moisture content increasing. There is an abrupt rising stage in the δ - ω curve, and the deformation appears much sensitive to the moisture increasing in this stage. Finally, two empirical formulae are put forwards to calculate settlement of collapse loess foundation by considering the moisture content increasing.
