摘要

The present work analyses the effects of temperature-induced density and viscosity changes on convective flow and heat transfer in saturated porous media. Attention is given to forced convection in sand in the vicinity of hydraulic-impermeable but heat conducting boundaries. A test setup with three saturated layers of clay-sand-clay was made in order to measure and understand the temperature-induced density and viscosity effects together with forced convection on the heat transfer phenomenon. Tests results show preferential flow paths in the sand layer depending on the situation. Under constant pressure gradient significant discharge variations are oticed, mainly due to viscosity effects and to a lesser part due to density changes.
