摘要

The most accurate method to determine the bedding module is related to railrndeflection. For this purpose measurements of rail deflection at a track segment of the old AthensrnMetro (I.S.A.P.) were carried out. The measurements were repeated eight months later in order tornascertain the influence of time and ballast tamping on the condition of the track as well as the needrnof track maintenance. A tentative range of C values is recommended as an indicator of thernmaintenance needs for the layers under the sleepers. More research is however needed in order torndetermine this range more accurately.
