摘要

Today, communication is seen as a strategic function by the majority of organizations that interact in our social system, Science and Technology Parks included. Communication identifies organizations, legitimates them and enables them to obtain consensus. The success of communication largely hinges on two basic conditions which are not always met: · good planning, which should not be limited to the short term and be able to place strategies, objectives, target publics, actions and communication tools within a sound comprehensive framework; · appropriate time schedules and human and financial resources, commensurate with the contents of the communication plan. My paper aims at illustrating the experience gained at POLARIS—the Science & Technology Park of Sardinia—in designing and implementing a comprehensive Park communication and promotion strategy. I shall also examine some of the lessons learnt and the good practices identified for Park communication activities.
