The rare metal production tails presented by micas, feldspars and quartz are rarely treated further on due to absence of reliable techniques permitting to recover the most valuable component -potassium feldspar at the ratio K_2O/Na_2O below 1.0. Any novel technology for thorough beneficiation of such material will create a powerful source for extra production without new deposits having to be developed, thus saving the environment in broad scope at the same time. The conducted set of investigation has resulted in the development of a technology for thorough processing of the rare metal tails permitting a low-waste treatment of complex ores. The technology facilitates the production of mica lithium concentrate and high-grade potassium feldspar under the conditions of complete water recycling despite of extremely low contents of lithium oxide and microcline in the material. The chief distinction of the proposed technological solutions is the use of flotation with effective combinations of various reagents at corresponding stages of technological process.
